These are recent photographs. The old adage that an artist is only as good as his most recent work may be true. Any photographer

worth his salt can crank out hundreds of shots in a year, and now with digital cameras the sheer quantity of garbage that can be

generated is mind numbing.

I have owned three digital cameras to date and I have given the digital medium a good trial. I will still use digital cameras, but I find

them very limited in palette. Film offers far more options for texture and the search for color harmony. If one buys a digital camera he

always will have the same color and shortcomings capturing brilliant light that came with it. Digital cameras in use are often slow and

encumbering to the photographer experienced with a manual camera. The photographer's on board computer, once trained, can often

work much faster than today's automated wonders.

I own well equiped large, medium and 35mm format cameras. My camera of choice is my Leica M4 which I have been using for 38

years. If one doesn't have experience with a Leica he will never understand the joy photography can be.
